Independent dance choreographers and performers in Jerusalem are invited to submit
their candidacy for joining Beit Yael – a home for independent dance choreographers
and performers in Jerusalem – as members.
The conditions were designed to ensure that the new artists have proven professional
experience and an independent creative path. Meeting the criteria, including
experience in staging an original creative work on a professional stage, constitutes a
common foundation for all members of the community and facilitates a professional,
fertile, and supportive environment.
Application Criteria:

artist whose artistic work is centered in Jerusalem.
> The artist must be over 18 years old.
> The artist must be a professional whose art is his or her primary occupation or a
professional artist with a degree from a college or university of the dramatic arts
in Israel whose art is his or her primary occupation, who has created at least one
work that was staged professionally in the past three years*.
> Choreographers who are currently creating new works or who plan to begin new
works.
* The artist must not be already receiving municipal support (artists may not receive
support from two different sources).
* Exceptional requests will be examined and discussed by a municipal professional
committee at the exclusive discretion of the municipality.
